My great grandfather was from this island. He name was Vyramutthu
He sent his two sons to study in Jaffna College. V Arumugam and V Aiyampillay. Both these men became christians and thier names were Samuel Wesley Vyramutthu Arumugam and John Vyramutthu Aiyampillay.
My grandfather migrated to Malaysia. I now live in Malaysia. I have for some time been looking at the family tree and have traced my roots with considerable success.
